Sticks and Stones (Part II)

Official Jewry is waiting with baited breath to see whether police will charge Salman Hossain with a hate crime. Hossain, you may recall, posted hateful, unhinged rants about Jews on the Internet, a clear violation of both Section 13, Canada's federal censorship provision, as well as our Criminal Code. The O.J.s were most emphatic about the need to charge Hossain with a hate crime since, as they continually remind us, "hate speech" is the precursor to and a primary cause of genocide.

Good to know. So why aren't the O.J.s screaming bloody murder about this (from the Ottawa Sun):

...According to details the two men posted, the incident began when someone shout “Zionist” in Arabic but they weren't sure who it was directed at. Bergamini is an outspoken supporter of Israel and Klibanov is an Israeli.


Both responded they were.

"We were surrounded by 10-15 men who began to shout at us in Arabic. We tried to back out and run away. All of a sudden, I was struck in the back of the head. I’m not sure if it was a fist, a rock or a pipe but it left me dazed and bleeding," said Bergamini...

There's something seriously awry with official perceptions when a swastika scrawled on a wall and/or "hate speech" on the Web makes 'em blow a gasket, but  actual physical violence--and what could have been a Daniel Pearl-like murder right here in Canada--elicits nothing more than palid banalities about the need to curb hateful speech.
 
In a word, that's bonkers. Words can hurt? Sure. But a fist, a rock, a pipe and, yes, a machete--those things can freaking kill you. Just ask the two guys who managed to outrun the loquacious Jew-haters which they most feared--the "words," or the weapons.
