You would think that 9/11 and all we've learned since then about jihad, sharia and Islamic triumphalism might have prompted the bien pensents to give some sober second thought to their enthusiasm for Edward Said's piffle about the West's willful "misrepresentation" of Islam and Muslims. But despite its having been debunked (mugged) by reality, there it is on the Guardian's just-released list of the 100 greatest non-fiction books. (You'll find it under "culture.")

An enjoyable read Orientalism by Edward Said . loved the way you wrote it. I find your review very genuine and original, this book is going in by "to read" list.
