The Banality of Intersectionality
According to a new survey of EU Jews, the majority of Jew-hate in Europe is being perpetrated by those (Muslims, left wingers) who huddle under the "intersectionality" umbrella; only 13% of the perpetrators express right wing views.

Farrakhan Gets the Gravy
One would think that Louis Farrakhan's overt and unabashed Jew-hate would render his racket ineligible to receive (U.S.) federal funding.
In reality, one couldn't be wronger.

"Jewish Privilege"? Um, No Thanks
According to this week's CJN, "Jewish Privilege" isn't an issue that's "black and white."
In what follows--my letter to the editor--I respectfully beg to differ:
In what follows--my letter to the editor--I respectfully beg to differ:
Update: Here's an example of the "intersectionality"-driven hatred I was talking about:There are several reasons why I don't agonize over my so-called "Jewish privilege." First, it is difficult to feel "privileged" when, despite being such a small slice of the population, Jews remain the number one target of hate crimes in Canada.Second, I decline to participate in the "intersectionality" sweepstakes, a toxic ideology which upholds victimhood as the highest virtue and which acts as cover for some of the worst anti-Semitism around: one need look no further than Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan for an example of that. Finally, I have read David Nirenberg's book Anti-Judaism: The Western Tradition. It's a masterful account of how Western thought has been suffused with a type of Jew-hate that has little or nothing to do with actual Jews and/or Judaism, but which uses "the Jew" as a foil that enables the thinker to define ultimate good and bad. Whatever the thinker argues is, of course, "good," while its' opposite, whatever it is, is said to be "Jewish," and is therefore bad. Tragically, millions of real, live Jews have often suffered dire consequences because of this kind of thinking. When placed in this context, a much bigger picture emerges, and the derision of Jews for their purported "white privilege" as well as its adjunct, the "intersectionality"-driven hatred of "Zionism," can be seen for what they really are.
They are also unified in the belief that Israel is the enemy of the righteous. Katbi Smith had worked hard for the passage of a BDS resolution, presented to members at the 2017 convention. When it passed, by almost 90% of the vote, she was ecstatic. She told Abraham Riesman, who was writing about the DSA for The Daily Beast, “It was electric. The room was on fire. It was amazing. We had a Palestinian flag that we waved as soon as it passed. We started chanting.”And what they chanted was: “From the river to the sea. Palestine will be free.” In case there is any doubt, this is not a peaceful wish. It is a call for the elimination of Jews between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.

The New York Times High Fives The Protocols of Alice's Malice
Hey, so what if wacky Alice Walker has a hard on (so to speak) for the same noxious fabrication that inspired the likes of A. Hitler? She's black, she's a chick, and she wrote The Color Purple. In the intersectionality sweepstakes, that's a big winner!

Merrily We Roll A-Schlong
So this happened:
A Quebec theatre is fighting for its "freedom of creation" after getting fined $500 because an actor smoked a fake cigarette while having an argument with a woman in a giant penis suit.
During a Dec. 3 performance of Conversations avec mon pénis at the Premier Acte theatre in Quebec City, two health inspectors showed up and issued the fine for smoking in a public place after actor Marc-André Thibault lit up on stage.
Marc Gourdeau, the theatre's artistic director, says he will likely contest the fine, arguing that you can't violate provincial anti-toboacco rules when there's no actual tobacco involved...
Good point. But don't you violate some other rules by having a chick play the prick?

No Jihad To See Here, Christian Strasbourgers. Y'all Best Move Along Now
Mark Steyn weighs in on the latest loopy loup incident:
Update: The traditional greeting shrieked in Strasbourg is a reminder to Macron that climate change isn't his only worry.
Yesterday, the usual "known wolf" - that's to say, known to the highest levels of the French security apparatus - killed three and wounded a dozen more in this year's first attack on a Christmas market - in Strasbourg. The jihadist yelled ...oh, go on, take a wild guess: Joyeux Noël? Bonnes Fêtes? No, he stuck to the traditional greeting.Hey, as Tevye the Milkman once said, nothing beats tradition.

Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before (And I'm Sure You Have)
According to a Mississauga-based Arabic news website, 'twas the nefarious Joooo who sunk the unsinkable:
“The Jewish Freemasons built the giant Titanic ship and charged it with the fictional costs, only to kill three businessmen, who built it with a magnificent construction, to drag them on board, and then sink them into the ocean floor and bury the secret with them for ever. The (businessmen were against) the idea of creating the Federal Reserve! They loved to be rid of them in order to pave the way for the new world order.”Well, duh! Every anti-Zionist/anti-Semite know that.

The latest episode of Leah Remini's Scientology and the Aftermath examines an odd but opportunistic alliance.
Phyllis Chesler and the Real "Baby, It's Cold Outside"
In this Georgian era, Chesler observes, one's support for Israel is likely to get one shunned by the "progressive" mob (a group in the grip of a pathological GroupThink which fetishizes Palestinian victimhood and which views "Zionism" as a great--perhaps even the greatest--evil). Hence this reworking of a song despised both by #MeToo and the Muslim Brotherhood:
"Progressive" Feminists: You really can't stay.
Phyllis Chesler: But ladies it's cold outside!
PFs: Your views are outré
PC: But ladies it's cold outside!
PFs: We cannot abide the likes of you.
PC: There's nothing I can do!
PFs: We feminists stick together.
Present a united front.
Sarsour is our cherished sister
And "Zionists" take the brunt (of our fury)…

No Laughing Matters
I think it's safe to say that comedy on campus is officially dead:
A student club at the University of London is requiring that all comedians sign a "behavioral agreement" as a condition of performing at a January comedy night.Which leaves--what? Jokes about Zionists and Trump?
According to emails reviewed by PJ Media, the UNICEF on Campus chapter at the University of London sent five local comedians — including Russian-born free speech advocate Konstantin Kisin — a request to perform.
"Attached is a short behavioural agreement form that we will ask for you to sign on the day to avoid problems," wrote Fisayo Eniolorunda, the club’s event organizer, in an email to Kisin and four other comedians sent Sunday.
"This comedy night… aims to provide a safe space for everyone to share and listen to Comedy," states the behavioral agreement form. "This contract has been written to ensure an environment where joy, love, and acceptance are reciprocated by all."
"By signing this contract, you are agreeing to our no tolerance policy with regards to racism, sexism, classism, ageism, ableism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia or anti-religion or anti-atheism."...
Michelle Goldberg, Anti-Semite?
In a word, yup.
Update: An editorial in the Jerusalem Post concludes:
Update: An editorial in the Jerusalem Post concludes:
Anti-Zionism is an inherently antisemitic concept because it seeks to single the Jewish people out among the nations of the world as undeserving of self-determination. It doesn’t matter if Diaspora Jews like or support Israel – although polls show that the vast majority in the US and the UK do – for seeking Israel’s elimination to be antisemitic. Publishing Goldberg’s screed provides cover for antisemitism. The New York Times can do better. Can, but won't.
Omar Khadr's Outrageous Demands
Looks like the former Gitmo resident isn't satisfied with the terms of his release:
There should be no problem granting Omar's requests, however, given that he has become an upstanding citizen of Justin's Trudeaupia:
He says in his affidavit that he would like to be able to speak on the phone or over Skype to his sister Zaynab Khadr. He is also asking to perform the Hajj, a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia which is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims once in their lifetime. That last bit presents something of a challenge given that Zaynab et famille are currently living in, of all places, Sudan.
"For this reason, I would like to apply for a Canadian passport," he said in the document.
Zaynab Khadr has spoken in favour of al-Qaida and was investigated in Canada more than a decade ago for helping the terrorist network, but she was never charged.
"My sister Zaynab is not presently in Canada," Khadr said in the document. "She is living with her husband and family. As far as I am aware, she is not in any sort of trouble."
The rules of Khadr's bail allow him to meet with her but only in the presence of his bail supervisor or one of his lawyers.
There should be no problem granting Omar's requests, however, given that he has become an upstanding citizen of Justin's Trudeaupia:
In his affidavit, Khadr said he has been volunteering with an organization that helps refugees integrate into the community and has earned his high school diploma. Khadr said he is happily married and was accepted into a nursing program, but has been unable to devote himself to study due to his legal issues.Wow. Give that man an Order of Canada!
A Kung Fu Faux Pas
According to a brand new list, "Kung Fu Fighting" comes in at 100 as one of the "Absolute Best Songs of All Time."
That's right. Our list-compiler is convinced that the cheesy disco-era hit is better that anything composed by, say, Porter or Loesser or Gershwin (better, that is, than "Begin the Beguine" or "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" or "The Way You Look Tonight").
Even worse, the compiler seems unaware that the song is so "controversial" that warbling it in a karaoke context could actually get you arrested (and not because of your execrable taste in popular music).

It's been raining--heavily, interminably--for days now. Thought I'd share the song I just played for myself, one that synchs with booth my mood and the weather.

D-I-S-G-U-S-T
That's exactly what I felt when I happened to catch Bill Clinton sitting beside overt Jew-hater Louis Farrakhan at Aretha Franklin's funeral, televised on CNN.
Update: Here's the backstory:
Those were some really swell Jew-loathers the Queen of Soul liked to hang out with. Not that it matters now but I can't help but: was she in synch with them, Jew-wise?
Update: Here's the backstory:
The Franklin/Farrakhan relationship dates back several decades, according to a statement Farrakhan made after her death.
‘In 1972, when I was minister in New York City, Temple No 7, the police attacked our mosque. Within a few hours, Aretha Franklin came to the mosque, to my office, and said that she saw the news and came as quickly as she could to stand with us and offer us her support,’ Farrakhan wrote.
‘She asked me if Rev Jesse Jackson had been there to show support. I said, not yet. She said, he’ll be here within 48 hours. Rev Jackson came and stood with the Muslims.
Jesse Jackson? Oh, you mean the guy who once referred to NYC as "Hymietown."

False Elephant Alert?
What did police find on Danforth shooter Faisal Hussein's computer?
My prediction: we will never know. Especially if there was anything of a jihadi nature on it.
The initial narrative--"he was nuts, not jihadi"--is the one authorities are going to stick with. Hence, this:
Well, only if the "he's nuts, not jihadi" narrative pans out.
Otherwise, you've got the wrong pachyderm there, chief.

Many in the community are searching for answers about why the gunman wandered five blocks of bustling Danforth Avenue late on July 22 and indiscriminately shot into eateries.
[Toronto Police Chief Mark] Saunders said there isn't an easy answer and it will take investigators a "tremendous amount of time" to determine one. Officers are probing the gunman's background and where he might have obtained his weapon. That's the elephant?
But he said that to truly scratch the surface, city and law enforcement officials "need to talk about that elephant in the room" — what services and support are in place to prevent vulnerable people from picking up a firearm.
Well, only if the "he's nuts, not jihadi" narrative pans out.
Otherwise, you've got the wrong pachyderm there, chief.

Have Authorities Been Playing Us Re Toronto Shooter Faisal Hussain?
Now, here's something you won't hear on the CBC or read in, say, the Toronto Star. It's a summary of what we know about a shooter who was allegedly wracked by psychosis, but who was able to cold bloodedly and accurately target infidels enjoying a balmy Sunday evening in Greektown, killing two--one a mere child--and injuring many others. Unlike every other mainstream media outlet in the land, the Toronto Sun is willing to poke holes in the "he was nuts, not jihadi" narrative (as if the two are mutually exclusive). See, for instance, this section:
Sources have also said the RCMP had spoken to Hussain about visiting pro-Islamist websites.
But Canada's Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale was quick to deny Hussain was on any federal watchlists.
"As far as we're aware at this stage based on the state of the investigation, there is no connection between that individual and national security," he told media.
One source with close ties to the policing world scoffed at Goodale's comment.
"Most people don't end up having the RCMP show up at their door to discuss their online activity," said the source, who asked not to be named.
The source said the feds, police chief and others have been "playing with words" and "deceiving the public."
"It's all political," the source said. How refreshing to read such words in the pages of a mainstream Toronto newspaper. Too bad they will be dismissed by the feds, police chief and others, including members of the far too easily gulled public, as the ravings of a lunatic/"Islamophobe."

When It Comes to Modern Judenhass In France, the Craven French Refuse to Take Sides
Is it any wonder that more and more French Jews are hightailing out of there?:
France has a painful history of anti-Semitism, with its worst hours coming in the 1930s and during the German occupation in World War II. But in recent months, an impassioned debate has erupted over how to address what commentators are calling the "new anti-Semitism," as Jewish groups and academic researchers trace a wave of anti-Semitic acts to France;s growing Muslim population. What utter balderdash! What French leaders really fear--duh!--is the wrath of the Jew-haters.
Nearly 40 percent of violent acts classified as racially or religiously motivated were committed against Jews in 2017, though Jews make up less than 1 percent of France's population. Anti-Semitic acts increased by 20 percent from 2016, a rise the Interior Ministry called "preoccupying."
In 2011, the French government stopped categorizing those deemed responsible for anti-Semitic acts, making it more difficult to trace the origins. But before then, Muslims had been the largest group identified as perpetrators, according to research by a leading academic. Often the spikes in violence coincided with flare-ups in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, according to researchers.
For the French government, the issue is deeply complicated, touching on the country's rawest political nerves, as well as ethnic and religious fault lines. France has Europe's biggest population of both Jews and Muslims, and Muslims face both discrimination in employment and in their treatment by the police.
French leaders fear pitting one side against the other, or even acknowledging that a Muslim-versus-Jew dynamic exists. To do so would violate a central tenet of France--that people are not categorized by race or religion, only as fellow French citizens, equal before the law.

Behold, too, my comment:
In light of, and as a balance to, this article, I eagerly await the CJN's exposé of the CBC's inherent anti-Israel animus/bias.Eagerly and, as I am well aware, in vain.
Can You Guess the Source of This Summary?
It's a rundown of Trump's recent ego 'n' ignorance-driven wrong-headedness:
TIME? The Nation? Harper's? Some other mainstream, left-of-center publication?
Nope.
It's from the very conservative Weekly Standard.
To sum up: Trump disagreed with nearly all of the House and Senate on how much control he should have over Russia sanctions. He disagreed with modern economic practice when he openly welcomed a trade war with China and hiked tariffs even on friendly, free-trading nations: mercantilist nonsense whose heyday was two centuries ago. He buddied up with Kim and accepted his vague intentions prima facie amid calls for prudence; he legitimized the denials of Vladimir Putin although his government has concluded and insisted that the neo-dictator’s regime meddled and continues to try meddling in American elections. So where do you think it's from?
TIME? The Nation? Harper's? Some other mainstream, left-of-center publication?
Nope.
It's from the very conservative Weekly Standard.
Melanie Phillips: "Victim Culture Is Innately Anti-Jewish. But Victim Culture Lies At the Very Heart of Progressive Left-Wing Thinking"
So true. And yet, something that is rarely articulated, much less acknowledged.

The Authoritarian's Apprentice?
I see that, despite Trump's obvious shortcomings (to put it mildly), the pundits over at FrontPage Magazine continue to swoon over their POTUS. Thankfully, however, there are a few conservatives who would sooner barf at than swoon over Trump's embarrassing and dangerous antics. Anthony Furey, for one, is no fan of the man's Helsinki hustle; of how, for reasons known only to himself, Trump humbled himself "in the presence of Putin."
I'm with Furey on that one. The result of which is this letter to the Toronto Sun's editor:
In the reality TV show that is currently underway on the global stage, Vladimir Putin has been cast as mob boss Tony Soprano.
As for Donald Trump: he, alas, has willingly cast himself in the lesser role of Tony's flabby, deferential sidekick, Big Pussy.
And if Trump isn't careful, his political career may end up sharing the same fate as that character and "swim with the fishes."

"At What Point Do We Hold Russia and Putin Accountable?"
Great question. We know, however, that with a Putin-besotted Trump at the helm, the answer to that is an emphatic "never!"
And for the record--and until/unless more concrete evidence comes to light--I don't believe there was any collusion between Trump and Putin in '16; the Russian despot, who admitted during today's presser that he wanted Trump to win, didn't have to collude with him. All Putin had to do was mess with the U.S. election sans collusion, which appears to be exactly what happened.
To be clear: I was disgusted when Barack Obama sucked up to the likes of Iran's Grandiose Ayatollah. I am equally--if not more--disgusted by the sight of an American president abasing himself, and by extension the USA, before Putin, a revolting, irredeemable thug.
