The CIC Word of the Month

Elmo's successor at the Canadian Islamic Congress harps on a single word in defending the Islamic body bag for chicks. The word is "miniscule". She argues that since only a "miniscule" number of chicks in Quebec actually wear the fashion statement, we silly infidels are making a big deal about nada. We need to chilll, people, and not make such a fuss over something so utterly, um, "miniscule."

Funny, but when I have occasion to visit the local shopping mall and I see more and more perambulating shrouds, faces hidden but for an eye slit, the word "miniscule" is not the one that pops into my head. "Oppressive"; "sharia"; "Wahhabi"--those are the words that occur to me.
