CNN Pimps for Interfaith Malarkey

Sarah Palin calls building a mosque, of all things, at Ground Zero an "unneccessary provocation," but CNN sides with quotes others who are deeply distressed that anyone would see said construction as being anything other than super-nice:
..."I'm ashamed to be an American today," said Rakif Gathwari, a Muslim-American who reminded the crowd that people from many countries and religions died in the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
"I want to prove to this hall that I am a citizen," Gathwari said, holding up his passport.
Some Muslim community leaders say the project could provide an opportunity for improving interfaith relations.
And the only way Rafik can gain assurance that he's a citizen is to be allowed to see triumphalist edifices rise on the site of the jihadi terror attack?

Falafels and samosas all round!
