Stone Apologizes for Holocaust Comment

Endeavouring to do damage control, Oliver Stone said via his publicist:
In trying to make a broader historical point about the range of atrocities the Germans committed against many people, I made a clumsy association about the Holocaust, for which I am sorry and I regret.
He did not, however, apologize for saying the Jews controlled the media and had effed up America's foreign policy for years. Which makes his apology as half-hearted as it is half-assed.

Update: Roger L. Simon asks "Is Oliver Stone today's Walter Duranty?"
