Something Smells

This stabbed Muslim NYC cabby story doesn't pass the sniff test. The guy who attacked him worked for an outfit that backs Rauf's mosque. And now the recovering cabby, who's already met with GZM enthusiast Mayor Bloomberg, is going to call for an end to all "anti-Muslim rhetoric"--you know, the kind that supposedly led to the attack and that could even derail the Cordoba project. Of course with the media beating the "bigotry" drum and everyone feeling extra-bad about the attacked cabby, that's less likely to occur, and the Feisel-Daisy mosque may yet be able to sneak past the starting gate.

Why, it's almost as if the whole thing was orchestated from start to finish.

Update: A commenter on Jihad Watch makes an interesting point re the rush to judgement:
What I find intriguing is that when Nidal Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar!” and proceeded to mow down 13 people at FT Hood-- or when Taheri-azar drove an SUV through UNC students (or name any number of sudden jihad syndrome attacks)-- our elite opinionmakers could not bring themselves to ascribe any clear motive to those actions.

  3. I don't know what this guy's deal is. He seems to have spent some time recently in Afghanistan filming stuff for Intersections, the "social justice" NGO he worked in a voluntary capacity for. Don't know if something really bad happened there that made him go kooky, or if he was kooky to start out with, and got so blotto he didn't know what he was doing. I've also read that he's been drunk and disorderly before, though never involved in this sort of violent attack. I'm not any clearer than I was this morning as to what's really going on here, other than the fact that it's all quite strange and the media are milking the racist angle as much as they can.
