Who's the Great Divider?

Remember how during the election campaign Obama was touted as someone who was "post-racial," the great healer who, being both black and white (and despite having his butt planted most Sundays for 20 years in one of racist Rev. Wright's pews), would be able to transcend colour, bridge the racial rift, and bring Americans of every hue together in one grand unicorns 'n' rainbows Kumbaya embrace? It hasn't exactly worked out that way (to vastly understate it). Instead, a good argument could be made that Obama has done more to set back the state of race relations in the U.S. than any president in living memory. Of course there are those--you know the type--who are liable to blame the divisiveness on others.
