Beware the 'Human Rights' Monster

The reason I am so offended by a government-funded "human rights" edifice rising in Winnipeg is because I am disgusted by what the concept of "human rights" has become. Originally, "human rights" was supposed to be a mechanism to protect powerless individuals from harassment/punishment by a powerful state. Over the years, however, it has morphed into something else, something monstrous. It has become a way for the state to force individuals to comply with a Utopian orthodoxy (political correctness in the West; sharia law in Muslim lands). Then there is the power-crazed supra--or super, or Über --"state," the UN/OIC. There are two flies in its Utopian, totalitarian ointment: the U.S. and Israel. UN/OIC "human rights" orthodoxy requires the U.S. to relinquish its superpower status and blend into the (powerless) undifferentiated kafir mass, and for Israel, whose presence on land claimed in perpetuity for Islam makes its existence anathema to the OIC, to cease to exist a.s.a.p.

And that's why I despise the out-of-control "human rights" monster: because it poses a grave threat to that which I value most, to everything that makes life worth living--to freedom/liberty, to personal happiness and fun (a large part of which involves the fun of exposing the pompous, the pious and the demonic to withering, relentless ridicule).
