True enough. Islam is a religion, and therefore deserving of constitutional protection. However, it is also a competing totalitarian system of laws that aim to supersede the Constitution and are antithetical to it in that they enshine inequities that non-Muslims cannot abide. Thus free societies will lose their freedom should they allow sharia an entree into their political realm.
Simple as that, really.
