About Islamic History Month Canada
Islamic History Month Canada aims at celebrating Muslim contributions to civilization, old and new, encouraging Muslim integration in Canadian society, and inspiring dialogue and introspection among all groups in Canada through a range of events such as a multicultural exhibition, public lectures, panel discussions, film showings at Ottawa Public libraries, and other complementary activities.
The project was launched in October 2007 and gained the House of Commons' support as they proclaimed October Islamic History Month across all Canada.
