"You've Got the Talking Down, Just Not the Listening"

Sometimes a song expresses almost exactly how you feel, and what you feel like saying to someone who pays lip service to what can often be the messy give-and-take of conversation, but who, in fact, is incapable of viewing a differing opinion as anything other than a personal attack, and who really only wants an echo chamber (and know this, I am nobody's echo). Thank you, Sara Bareilles, for giving voice to my feelings--and my frustration and disappointment with just such a faux-approachable person.
