I agree wholeheartedly with Scaramouche: trying to develop a wholesome _romantic_ relationship with members of the opposite sex (especially for girls, but also for boys with traditional mores) can be an emotionally taxing exercise in all but the most conservative social environments. I, too, am glad not to be young and looking for that right someone of the opposite sex.
The Sexual Revolution was already well underway during my late teen and young adult years (in the late 1960s and early 1970s), but I think even the most dissolute coeds from that time would have been genuinely shocked by the depths to which we have sunk with the hook-up culture of today's campuses (to say nothing of the mainstreaming of all sorts of perversions). _Rutting_ is the right word for this, it does not even rise to the level of _fornication_.
The good news, if a silver lining can be found, is that conservative religious groups--Orthodox Jews, Mormons, Traditionalist Catholics, etc.--seem to be the ones having the most children (e.g., my wife and I have had four, a middling family in the past, but a veritable tribal assembly in today's world), hence passing on their values to future generations. Of course, the cultural Marxists try their best to subvert the moral teachings of conservative parents, but, hopefully, enough sticks in enough cases to predominate eventually.
