The Canadian Friends of The Hebrew University, Toronto Chapter will present the esteemed Key of Knowledge Award to Mr. Morgan Freeman in recognition of his work in combating segregation and prejudice, and promoting knowledge and education throughout the world.
Previous award recipients include the late Jake Eberts, producer of Chariots of Fire, Gandhi, and Dances with Wolves. Fiona Eberts will present the award to Mr. Freeman along with Hebrew University President, Menachem Ben Sasson.
“We are thrilled to honor a man who has not only touched hearts and minds on the big screen, but has worked consistently, courageously, and with his quiet leadership, to tackle pressing social issues and inspire young individuals to pursue knowledge and education.” said Randy Masters, CFHU Toronto Chapter President. The award ceremony is scheduled for Spring 2013 in Toronto, date and location to be announced in the new year...
About the Key of Knowledge Award:Here's an example of Mr. Freeman's vision thing, part of his Sept. 2011 discussion with CNN's Piers Morgan alleging that the Tea Party's is inherently "racist":
Inspired by Hebrew University founders Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud, the award recognizes leaders and visionaries who have bettered society through the dissemination of knowledge, wisdom, and personal example.
Freeman: [the Tea Party's] stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term. What's, what does that, what underlies that? Screw the country. We're going to do whatever we do to get this black man, we can, we're going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here. Morgan: But is that necessarily a racist thing?...Wouldn't they say that about any Democrat? In fact, the rise of the Tea Party shows the frustration of ordinary Americans with unfettered spending and entitlements, ones which have made America, in the words of Mark Steyn, "the brokest nation in history."
Freeman: It is a racist thing...[The rise of the Tea Party] shows the weak, dark underside of America. We're supposed to be better than that. We really are. That's why all those people were in tears when Obama was elected president. 'Ah look at what we are–this is America.' Then it just sort of started turning because these people surfaced–like stirring up muddy water
Hey, how about instead of giving the award to Morgan Freeman, they give it to the far wiser and more knowledgeable Mr. Steyn?

Apparently in Canada, as in the U. S., racial progressives are enamored of a racial caricature every bit as outlandish as anything ever portrayed by Stepin Fetchit in the 1930s: the magic Negro (a role whose apotheosis is Morgan Freeman's representation of the Deity). And, just as Fetchit's shuffling, idiotic, superstitious stereotype of the rural Southern black was a denial of the essential humanity of African-Americans, so is Freeman's stereotype of all-wise, all-good, transcendent magic Negro. The more things change . . .
