Despite Hamid Karzai's howls of outrage over his rivals' in-your-face display of puissance, the U.S.'s tepid response to it as well as its willingness to bypass Karzai and negotiate directly with the Taliban seem to indicate that the spiffily-dressed kleptocrat's days are numbered--possibly in the single digits.
