"The Last Thing We Wanted Was Trouble"

Hometown hero Tarek Loubani poo-poo's the notion that he and fellow "human rights" activist John Greyson went into Egypt with a bad 'tude, cruising for a bruising. In, fact, as they tell the Globe and Mail with an earnestness that belies their history of making kissy-face with Hamas, the reason they ventured into Egypt during a raging civil was because--cue the violins--they wanted to help people.

I believe 'em; don't you?

Update: Loubani and Greyson "plan to give voice to hundreds" in Egyptian prison. Great. Maybe they'll lay off Israel for a change.
