The draft [of the resolution] appears designed to provide oversight of those types of incursions -- as well as surveillance incursions of average citizens worldwide. It requests that the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights report to the U.N. General Assembly twice in the next two years on "human rights and indiscriminate surveillance" with "views and recommendations" aimed at "identifying and clarifying principles, standards and best practices on the implications for human rights of indiscriminate surveillance."I'm not sure that indiscriminate NSA spying is a good thing, but I do know that the UN "human rights" body is nest of Zion-loathing vipers, and the UN in general, dominated as it is by the thugs and despots, many of them members of the OIC, is both a morass and a joke.

UN Set to Issue Righteous Smackdown to U.S. for Unbridled NSA Surveillance
In the wake of embarrassing disclosures about the NSA spying on American allies (including Angela Merkel), the UN is preparing to do what it does best--tackle an identified problem via high-toned yet ultimately vapid mumbo-jumbo:
