Pete Seeger Has Died, Aged 94, But His Song About Free Speech Lives On

He didn't write it--the original, obviously, is in German--but he came up with and first sang this English version. Anyone who genuinely cares about our most crucial freedom, whether s/he tacks left (like Pete) or right (like moi), cannot help but be stirred by lines such as, "My conscience won't cater to duke or dictator." And, to update it for our era, it won't cater to "human rights" bullies and/or political correctness.

R.I.P., Pete, and thanks for the song.
