Metropolitan Opera Mucky-Mucks Mired in Amoral Moral Equivalence

In response to CAMERA's concerns re the Metropolitan Opera mounting a production of Zion-loather John Adams's Klinghoffer work, Met head Peter Gelb "explains":
"John Adams has said that in composing 'The Death of Klinghoffer' he tried to understand the hijackers and their motivations, and to look for humanity in the terrorists, as well as in their victims. Tom Morris, the director of the Met's new production, believes that the opera's most important contribution is in providing an opportunity for the audience to wrestle with the almost unanswerable questions that arise from this seemingly endless conflict and pattern of abhorrent violent acts."
Ah, yes, those "unanswerable questions." Ones like: Why would Arab terrorists pick on a helpless American Jew?

Answer: they're imbued with the same sort of Jew-hate that gave rise to the Holocaust.

See, that wasn't so hard.
