Apparently, the magazine's arrival here has been delayed by "a logistical problem"--whatever that means. It is now set to show up sometime on Monday.
As far as Lal Khan Malik, the national president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, is concerned, it would be best if the magazine never arrived. Quoted in the Toronto Sun, Malik says that anyone selling this particular issue will be pouring "fuel on this fire."
Furthermore, Malik, one of those "moderate" Muslims who decry violent jihad, believes that "for the sake of the peace of the world, vilification of religious personalities should not go on. There should be reasonable limits to our freedom."
And the difference between "reasonable limits to our freedom" which would include punishments for vilifying Islam's prophet, and sharia strictures re "blasphemy" is...?
Ooo, ooo, pick me teacher!
The difference is that here in the West you don't get flogged for "insuling Islam."
