New Drinking Game: Drink Up Every Time Barack Obama Calls a Feat of Jihad "Senseless"

In his latest statement on the massacre of Charlie Hebdo journalists and 'toonists, President Barack Obama was as passionless and mealy-mouthed as ever. (You know he'd have manifested the appropriate outrage had the jihadis, say, killed Trayvon Martin.) Not once did he refer to "jihad" or "Muslims" or even "radical Islam." Twice, however, he described what happened as "senseless."

Bloody and shocking--that's for sure. But grounded as it was in the jihad imperative that's at the core of Islamic texts and teachings, "senseless" it most definitely was not. In fact, the jihadis' cries at the scene about "avenging" Islam's founder via the bloodshed shows the "sense"--and the sensibility--that is apparent to anyone who cares to see it. Of course, that doesn't include the President who still considers the slaughter of Army personnel at Fort Hood by a jihadi who shouted "Allahu Akbar!" to be an instance of  "workplace violence"; the President who told the world from a UN podium that the future does not belong to those who slander Islam's founder, an idea with which today's "avengers" would no doubt wholeheartedly concur.
