White House Outreach Designed to Counter "Violent Extremism" Divides U.S. Muslims

You would think that a White House that can't even bring itself to utter the word "jihad" and that is presided over by a POTUS who has an obvious soft spot for Islam and who continually criticizes Christians would be able to woo and win 'em with this namby-pamby "community-based" effort. And if you think that, you'd be wrong. While some Muslims in pilot project cities are on board, it has set off others who "fear the program is just another veiled way for law enforcement to target their community."

They'd have a point. Were there other communities whose young'uns were running off to Syria to wage jihad with the latest caliphate. But since the only community that applies to is the Muslim one, declaiming their fear of a "veiled" threat is really just a way to blow smoke (a "veil" of another kind).
