Oberlin Odium

The alumni of Oberlin, the ultra-lefty college that numbers Lena Dunham as an alumnus, are said to be up in arms about an assistant prof at that august institution who insists that Jewry/Israel are responsible for engineering the 9/11 attacks.

Well-meaning those these alumni may be, they are not serving the cause of free speech with this demand. A better strategy, I suggest, would be to debunk everything the woman has to say and to condemn her for spewing such obvious lies.

The point being that unless this woman's freedom to speak--and to speak stupidly--is defended, you will have that much harder a time defending the right of pro-Israel professor to speak in a positive way about Jewry and Zionists.
