Today in the Great and Glorious Global Jihad: Is Iran Shipping Weapons Via Yemen Bound for Somalia?

It's a definite possibility:
(Reuters) - An Iranian ship laden with arms seized by Yemeni authorities in January may also have been bound for Somalia, according to a confidential U.N. report seen by Reuters on Monday.
Yemeni forces intercepted the ship, the Jihan 1, off Yemen's coast on January 23. U.S. and Yemeni officials said it was carrying a large cache of weapons, including surface-to-air missiles, being smuggled from Iran to insurgents in Yemen.
The confidential U.N. report, by the U.N. Monitoring Group on Somalia and Eritrea, cited Yemeni officials as saying that it was possible diesel carried aboard the ship could have been intended for shipment to Somalia.
The group, which tracks compliance with Security Council sanctions, raised concerns in the report about the flow of weapons to Islamist al-Shabaab militants since the U.N. Security Council eased an arms embargo on Somalia's fragile Western-backed government earlier this year.
The report did not explicitly say that weapons on the ship were headed for Somalia, but one U.N. Security Council diplomat said that if it was true that the diesel was intended for Somalia, it could not be ruled out that other items on the ship, including weapons, might also have been intended for there...

Obama and the Crisis in Egypt: Is He Leading From--or Thinking With His--Behind?

Both, clearly:
The masses in Tahrir Square – predominantly Muslim and including many who previously had supported Morsi – roared with approval Monday when army helicopters trailing Egyptian flags flew past.
But a Morsi aide told The Guardian that the army wouldn't be able to carry out a coup without Washington's approval. "The aide's comments implied that the regime was hopeful of continued American support," the newspaper report said. "They also suggested the presidency was banking on the likelihood that the military would not risk upsetting America, which provides it with significant funding."
Faced with this historic outpouring of discontent, the best President Obama could muster Monday was a tepid call for "restraint." There was no statement of support for the protesters, but Obama did make a point of saying Morsi had been democratically elected.
"There's more work to be done to create the conditions in which everybody feels that their voices are heard, and that the government is responsive and truly representative," he said
The president's comments expose a fatal misunderstanding of the Muslim Brotherhood's totalitarian doctrine. The Brotherhood has no interest in being democratic or pluralistic. The very basis of its existence is to impose Sharia and strict Islamic law upon everyone in Egypt as the first step of establishing a global caliphate. In a rare moment of candor, two top Brotherhood spokesmen said as much last year...
The country is rapidly imploding and all Obama can manage is a puerile spiel about unheard "voices"?

Could be time to trot out the filmmaker of that "insulting" Mo biopic once again, and pin the blame for the unrest on him. ;)

Richard Gwyn's Unintentionally Hilarious Profile of "The Contender" Justin Trudeau in Walrus Magazine

Since it's obvious that J.T. lacks the brain power of his famous papa (or of previous Liberal "contender," Harvard brainiac Michael Ignatieff), Gwynn tries, risibly, to make a case for his profilee's "emotional intelligence":
What the younger Trudeau does possess is an abundance of emotional intelligence. Some of it came to him via life’s hard knocks: the breakup of his parents’ marriage as the entire nation watched, and the tragic death of his beloved brother Michel in an avalanche. A major share of it comes from his mother, Margaret, troubled but brave. Some part, always overlooked, he inherited from his maternal grandfather, James Sinclair, an establishment rebel and federal cabinet minister who took an uninhibited pleasure in the zaniness of politics, especially at election times.
Trudeau is exceptional at street politics, because he genuinely likes people. He in turn is impossible not to like, a carefree extrovert, forever smiling, happy to kiss babies and their mothers, happy to hug their fathers, and blessed with a keen remembrance for peoples’ names. One savvy old Ottawa hand suggests another attraction: “It’s so refreshing that he doesn’t pretend to know everything.”
Guess what, oh, old savvy one? He's not pretending because no one is that good an actor.

Gwyn tries to add heft to the lightweight with this sort of puffery/utter bollocks:
Justin Trudeau is attempting to reconnect the new individualists with the political system, offering cynics and skeptics a reason to give the system another chance. Simply put, he is trying to move Canadian politics into the twenty-first century, and the remedy he is advancing is like a mirror image of his own personality.
I have no idea what that means. A "mirror image of his own personality" would show--what? A pretty boy who has never said anything clever, original or even remotely interesting? Yeah, who wouldn't want that at the helm of your ship? (Sounds like a recipe for a Titanic-style--which is to say, an Obama-style--disaster to me.)

To put it in a Canadian context (this being the day after our nation's birthday): they couldn't shift a single cheese curd in a poutine.

The Dumbest Thing Israeli "Peacenik" Yossi Beilin Has Ever Done?

He gave an interview to Harpoon Siddiqui, the Toronto Star's resident shill for all things Islamic/ist (including Iran's "peaceful" nuclear program).

Dumb, Yossi. Really, really dumb.

Update: A Hamas official who's more on the ball than both Yossi and Harpoon (and that imbecile John Kerry).

Hilarious--Photo of Attendees at Saudi Conference on "Women in Society" Shows Nary a Chick in Sight

That's feminism, Wahhabi-style, for you. (My question: who's the dude in the checkered shirt?)

No girls allowed: A 'Women in Society' conference in Saudi Arabia which judging by this picture had an all-male attendance

Keep Uncalm and Carry On With the Al Quds Day: Friendly Local Khomeinist Zafar B.'s Advice to Shia Zion-Loathers Everywhere

Sure, Shias are been slaughtered by their Muslim brethren in places like Pakistan and Egypt, but Khomeinists shouldn't let that distract them from their enmity toward the Zionist enemy, writes the religious mainstay of York Region (home to a police force that has a "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" office):
With so much mayhem in the Muslim world, it is important that we do not lose sight of the continued Zionist occupation of al-Quds (Jerusalem). The last Friday of Ramadan has been designated as the Day of Quds and Muslims would do well to remember it and join it.
Every year on the last Jumu‘ah of Ramadan, Muslims around the world participate in Quds Day rallies. The purpose is to draw attention to the continued occupation by the Zionists of the first qiblah and the third holiest site in Islam. In 1980, Imam Khomeini proclaimed the last Jumu‘ah of Ramadan as the Day of Quds so that Muslims do not forget their obligation toward the liberation of this holy city.

Quds Day rallies are now held in many cities around the world. Increasing numbers of Muslims in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa also participate in such rallies drawing attention to the continued occupation of al-Quds (Jerusalem) as well as express support for the suffering Palestinian people. Since the implantation of the Zionist entity in Palestine in 1948, Palestinians have suffered grievously. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians — Muslims and Christians — were driven from their homes in a campaign of terror perpetrated by the Zionists. Palestinian villages and towns were wiped out or taken over by the Zionists who flooded into Palestine from Europe and Russia. In the first flush, half of Jerusalem was also occupied. The other half remained under Jordanian control, an artificial entity carved out of Palestine by the British. It was handed over to ‘Abdullah, one of the sons of Sharif Husain in order to placate him. The British had reneged on their pledge to make Sharif Husain the king of all Arabians in return for his betrayal of the Ottoman Turks who were then in control of the Muslim East, including Palestine. The Zionists occupied the rest of Jerusalem in the June 1967 war when Jordanian forces fled without firing a single shot.

The British had simultaneously promised to create a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine as per the Balfour Declaration of November 1917. The British had of course no intention of honoring their pledge to the Arabs. Their promise to the Jewish people, extracted by Lord Rothschild from Balfour, then British foreign secretary, served both sides well. At a stroke the Zionists got the promise of a homeland in Palestine while the British and indeed the larger European community got rid of their “Jewish problem.” Anti-Semitism has been a defining feature of European life for centuries. The Europeans were not so much concerned about expiating for their sins against the Jews; their primary purpose was the expansion of colonialism into the Muslim East. Zionist Israel today serves as a colonialist bridgehead in the region.

The ongoing injustices perpetrated against the Palestinian people have aroused the concern of many people worldwide. The issue of Palestine and al-Quds has also transcended the religious divide. Many non-Zionist Jews and Christians participate in Quds Day rallies, especially in North America, Europe and South Africa, seeing these as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people. It must be emphasized that Quds Day rallies are not against the Jewish people — their presence in such rallies is proof of this fact — but against the injustices being perpetrated by the Zionists. Further, Zionism is a political ideology that is based on racism. In fact, Zionists belong to all religions, even if nominally. There are Jewish Zionists, as there are Christian, Muslim and Hindu Zionists.

One final point concerns many Muslim regimes that hitherto had hidden behind the claim of representing Islamic values. They now stand exposed. The tribal regime in the Arabian Peninsula and its fellow tribal monarchies and puppet regimes in the Muslim East are the local sentries of imperialism and Zionism. These include Jordan, Qatar, Morocco, Egypt and Turkey. Their primary aim is to maintain their illegitimate hold on power, and abort Islamic self-determination...
One final final point: who the hell let Shia supremacist Zafar into the country?

Ceeb Radio Gives Voice to Palestinian Jubilation Re Their Winning "Arab Idol"

It's so "inspiring" (or so the Ceeb would have you believe) because this wedding singer has changed the Palestinian "narrative" (yes, they actually use that word) from one of loss to one of victory.

Typical pro-Palestinian Ceeb spin.

What Canadian Shias Believe--"Kufr" "Human Rights" are Satanic

Several years ago, friendly local Khomeinist Zafar Bangash tut-tutted opposition to the construction of a new Shia mosque in Newmarket, a stone's throw from his own mosque in York Region. (I happened upon the Toronto Star article written back in '07 while searching for info about plans for Toronto Al Quds Day 2013.) Anyway, it appears that, despite concerns of "Islamophophes" in the area, the mosque--Newmarket Islamic Centre--is now a fait accompli. Perusing its website, I was directed to a link for Islam Questions & Answers. That's where I found this:
The global human rights organizations call for justice and equality and speak against oppression and transgression against people on the grounds of gender, race and colour, and support other noble principles. Is there any reason why we should not cooperate with them? If there is, what is the basis of objecting to these noble principles?.
Praise be to Allaah.
The Muslim should not be deceived by the so called western and European “human rights” organizations, because although they outwardly appear to support the oppressed and to take a stance against torture and undermining of human dignity in prisons and detention centres – which in general terms are good ideas – they also play other roles, and support other principles which are aimed at destroying the family, and opening the door to slander against Islam and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and all his fellow-Prophets. They are opposed to the rule of sharee’ah which enjoins hadd punishments such as stoning for the adulterer, execution for the apostate and cutting off the hand for the thief, becoming part of legislation and being  implemented, which is in fact very rare. These organizations are also opposed to the shar’i rulings that have to do with women, such as the necessity of her wali’s consent for marriage, the command to observe hijab, and the prohibition on her mixing, in addition to other principles where they claim that they want to liberate man from religious obligations and to make man free in the way he conducts his affairs, not restricted by good morals or sublime shar’i rulings.
To sum up what these organizations promote: it is that man should be able to do whatever he wants, no matter how perverse. They support lesbians, homosexuals and bisexuals, and religious deviance. They regard it as a human right to disbelieve in whatever religions one wants and to express one’s opinion – even about the Prophets – without any fear or shame, and they also support the liberation of woman from the control of her father, husband or religion.
Secondly:
There follow some of the articles of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, which was approved by the United Nations on 10/12/1948 CE, which we are quoting from their website:
Article 2.
Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
Article 18.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
Article 19.
Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.
These so called rights and freedoms which they call for all people to enjoy regardless of religion make the monotheist and the polytheist equally entitled to these rights and freedoms, so the slave of Allaah and the slave of the Shaytaan are placed on the same level, and every worshipper of rocks, idols or people is given the complete right and freedom to enjoy his kufr and heresy. This is contrary to the laws of Allaah in this world and the Hereafter...
Good to know.

Back in '07, Zafar (the driving force behind Toronto Al Quds Day Zionhass bash) called the controversy re this mosque "a storm in a teapot." Given the above, it's a tempest, alright--one called jihad.

Coming Soon: Al Quds Day 2013

No details yet on this year's local Zionhass bash, but here's what's planned for Londonistan (the spectacle is sponsored by the usual rogue's gallery of Khomeinists and other horrid Zion-loathers):
Join the annual Al Quds Day Demonstration organised by the Quds Committee this year on Friday 02 August 2013.  As usual, this will be a major national event with thousands of people coming from all over the country to show their solidarity with the people of Palestine and oppressed people everywhere.
The theme this year will be the liberation of Palestine.  The day is not exclusive to Palestine, but rather global oppression will be remembered through the symbolic prism of the Palestinian struggle against the Zionist occupying regime.
Find report, photos, videos and other resources from previous Al Quds Demonstrations here

Support Al Quds Day by doing the following:

Sons of Malcolm? Is that like Friends of Dorothy--only not as gay? (If someone could explain to me why an outfit dedicated to Malcolm X is pro-Shia, I'd really appreciate it.)

Update: Passion Islam? It's
an upbeat monthly publication aimed at Muslims going out across the UK. 40,000 copies of the magazine being sent out each month to Muslims across various Islamic establishments the magazine is a voice to many Muslims, whether they are students or working or taking time out the magazine is widely read and respected. With a fresh outlook and many of the next generation Muslims contributing to the magazine it’s truly to become the real voice for young Muslims.
Update: Innovative Minds? It's sole "innovation" is finding "innovative" ways to spew BDS-style Zionhass.

Update: BCF posts a Canada Day message about Al Quds Day from those adorable Khomeinists.

Update: If the Khomeinists had any brains, they'd forget about the Zionists and worry more about what their fellow Muslim brothers are doing to them:
The mob attack came after months of anti-Shiite hate speech; the week before the incident, Mr. Morsi appeared on stage at an event with hard-line Sunni clerics who denounced Shiites as “filthy.” Tensions over Mr. Morsi’s rule have been running strong for some time. On Friday, at least three people were killed and hundreds were injured in protests, and many fear violence during protest rallies set for June 30, the first anniversary of his inauguration. The army has warned it may intervene if things get out of control. Mr. Morsi’s speech to the nation on Wednesday offered little to appease critics demanding his resignation.
