Obama "Believes in Left-Wing Taqiyyah"
Roger L. Simon offers the best explanation to date re Obama's habitual mendacity.
Melanie Phillips on How, Counterintuitively, It's the Secular Religion of "Human Rights"--and Not Judeo-Christian Morality--That's Oppressive
The invaluable Ms. P. writes:
The idea that ‘oppressive’ Christian morality and ethics have been replaced – hurrah! – by a nirvana of freedom and tolerance is very wide of the mark. Traditional moral codes have merely been replaced by the modern religion of human rights, of which the English judiciary is its high priesthood.
For far from secularism being value-neutral, it promotes hyper-individualism. And far from expanding freedom, this diminishes it. For it sets up a perpetual fight for supremacy between interest groups, arbitrated in the courts by judges promoting secularism.
This actively and aggressively destroys the common bonds of history, tradition and morality that keep a society together. And it means that the weakest groups, of whom Christians are paramount, often find that their rights to uphold their own religious traditions are trampled down. For as a former Lord Chief Justice once remarked, human rights law inescapably favour minorities over the majority, which is seen (wrongly) as innately oppressive. Thus blind justice is replaced by a culture of human wrongs.
The reality – counter-intuitive as it may seem to some – is that individual liberty is only upheld and safeguarded by legal, social and cultural traditions embedded in the ethics of the Bible. Indeed, western liberty is unique in the world precisely because of those biblical roots.
Caroline Glick on "Liar" Obama
She sees his ObamaCare lies as being part of an overall pattern:
President Barack Obama views lies as legitimate political tools. He uses lies strategically to accomplish through mendacity what he could never achieve through honest means.
Obama lies in both domestic and foreign policy. On the domestic front, despite Obama's repeated promises that ObamaCare would not threaten anyone's existing health insurance policies, over the past two weeks, millions Americans have received notices from their health insurance companies that their policies have been cancelled because they don't abide by ObamaCare's requirements....
As was the case with ObamaCare, the White House knows that most Americans won't support its policy of doing nothing to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. So the White House never says that this is its policy. Obama and his advisors insist that preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power is a central goal of the administration. But their actions move US policy in the opposite direction. And if they get caught on the lies after Iran gets the bomb, well, Obama won't be facing reelection so he will pay no price for his duplicity.
The mendacity at the heart of Obama's political playbook is something that Israel needs to understand if it to survive his presidency without major damage to its strategic viability. The events of the past week make clear that the stakes in understanding and exposing his game couldn't be higher...
This Month's Sob Story in Khomeinist E-zine Crescent International
Those eee-ville Zionists, yada yada yada:
Time to cue the soap opera organ.
Life has never been easy for Palestinians. Fate has dealt them a terrible hand and in the last 100 years or so, their life has been miserable. In fact, they have faced a series of disasters, their fate decided by others without even consulting them. From the Balfour Declaration of November 1917 to the UN’s illegal partition of Palestine in November 1947, and subsequent disasters, the Palestinians have suffered continuously.
Almost all their land is under Zionist occupation; the pushy Zionist squatters from North America and Europe continue to steal even the few patches of land left in their control while the Palestinian leadership remains divided and in disarray. Add to that the tight siege of Gaza, both from Israel and the military-backed regime in Egypt and these are all ingredients for a disaster...Yeah, they're so hard done by.
Time to cue the soap opera organ.
Artie Erdogan: A Zion-Loathing Islamist
Isi Leibler describes the real Artie, and it isn't a pretty picture:
Erdogan seeks to conceal his true intentions and convey the illusion that he is himself a role model for an enlightened Islam which blends with democracy.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Erdogan is a fanatical Islamist and a vile bigot who lavishes praise on the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Hezbollah and whose behavior is more reminiscent of an Ottoman sultan than a democratically elected leader.
Erdogan has employed Islamist demagoguery to win three elections and has exploited his power and position to intimidate the media and destroy the opposition.
He has purged the army of its secular officers through primitive show trials and brutally repressed freedom of speech.
Today, there are more imprisoned journalists in Turkey than in Communist China and perhaps any other country in the world...
6--Count 'Em--6
That's how many Americans enrolled in ObamaCare on the first day of its rollout.
At that rate, they should have at least 150 signed up by the end of the year.

Despite the Unfolding ObamaCare Fiasco, Many In the MSM Still Adore Their Barry O.
See, for instance, this outrageous "poor Barry" piece from CNN:
Poor, poor Barry.
Here's a poem for those in the MSM who refuse to let the romance die, even as the ground gives way beneath them:
America's media, besotted, supine,
Continue to toe Barack's line.
Their rationale has brought grief
And consists of, in brief:
To err is human, but Obama's divine.
The worst part for Obama may be figuring out what to do about it all -- not just the various individual fires, but more generally how to "take control of his own government," CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger said.
If you're the President, how do you make sure that subordinates aren't withholding information you should know? How do you strike the right balance, and explain it clearly, on things such as gathering intelligence versus maximizing privacy and protecting key relationships? And how do you make sure those tied to your administration avoid big missteps that could come back to bite you?
Got that? Obama is just as "disillusioned" about government as any other American, even though he's the POTUS and is responsible for engendering the disillusionment."Four out of five Americans have little or no trust in their government to do anything right," Borger writes in an analysis. "And now Obama probably feels the same way."
Poor, poor Barry.

Michael Moore's Trick-or-Treat Outfit
He tweeted that he planned to dress up as "a Zombie Victim of Canadian Socialized Medicine."
Gee, I didn't think that costume came in XXL (but apparently it does):

"My Priority is You"
Justin Trudeau, a rich kid who is styling himself as a populist so he can "fix" the "problems" of you, the "middle class," is so earnest, so cloying in this ad that it comes off as a performance and, therefore, as entirely fake.
Well, he did teach theatrics, back in the day.

Farzana Hasan on the Medium (Anti-"Honour" Crime Transit Ads, Which are Good) and the Messenger (Pamela Geller, Not So Much)
The Toronto Sun columnist has some hesitations about Pamela Geller, the anti-jihad activist behind those "racist" Edmonton transit ads that were removed no more than 24 hours after they went up. She concedes, however, that more transparency re the motivations and provenance of "honour" crimes is, all in all, a good thing:
This is clearly a Muslim problem, but many Muslims do not see it as their issue.
It is simply too glib to claim that family violence can happen anywhere in a bid to explain away honour killing.
Some worry about offending orthodox Muslims, but it is more pressing to ask, who will speak for the victims of this violence?
The motives of those who sponsored the Edmonton bus ads may be questionable.
However, any method that alerts potential victims to the danger done by a twisted sense of honour may be beneficial.
It may even save lives. That is--or rather, was--the motive, Farzana. So why snipe at the messenger?
