Avatars of Green Idiocy

"Eco-elves" (egad!).

Obviously, the saying "seek and ye shall find" does not apply to lunatics who, in the grip of Suzukian delusions, venture to the Antarctic in pursuit of thin ice, only to get trapped in the thickened--and thickening--frozen stuff. I think it's only fair that these Darwin Award candidates get stuck with the tab for their rescue.

Czechs Shocked That Palestinian Envoy Who Blowed Up Real Good Was Hiding a Large Cache of Explosives

The Czechs are demanding answers PDQ:
The Czech foreign ministry expressed concern Thursday over the discovery of a large, illegal weapons stockpile at the home of the Palestinian ambassador in Prague, Jamel al-Jamal, a day after he was killed in an explosion there.

A ministry statement said that the findings possibly constitute a breach of diplomatic rules, and warrant a clarification from Palestinian officials, Reuters reported...
The findings are "possibly" a breach of diplomacy? What--there's some question about it?

Here's the "clarification": They're jihadis; you're infidels; deal with it--or else.

Queer Eye for the Straight Kids Latest TDSB Social Engineering Endeavour

I was explaining to our cousins in Texas that Toronto has a particularly kooky school board. I think this end-of-the-year story from the TDSB site says it all:
Last spring, Sloane Public School, a K-5 school, decided to do a school wide project related to gender, gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation. The learning goals were to make the school a safer place and to stop gender based violence.
The program called RESPECT YOURSELF EXPRESS YOURSELF started with the reading of three great picture books (My Princess Boy/Cheryl Kilodavis, 10 000 Dresses/Marcus Ewert , Backwards Day/ S. Bear Bergman ) and follow up discussions. Direct teaching was done around stereotyping and the harmful effects of discrimination, exclusion and bullying.
All students and staff became fashion designers and designed two-dimensional garments using different materials. A select group of students got to be part of a design house that created and made three-dimensional garments. Community agency Arts For Children and Youth worked with students and taught them sewing and dance skills. A fashion show was held on May 17th, the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, and featured the students' creations.
Reflections from staff, students and community proved that attitudes have changed and there is now a greater acceptance of diversity in the school...
You mean "sewing and dancing" is all it takes to stop bullying?

What a shame no one thought to try it sooner. ;)

Joooos, Saudis and Hindooos

Not surprisingly, that's who zany Khomeinist and notorious Zion-loather Zafar Bangash blames for fomenting the ongoing "sectarianism" of the "ummah."

Which is to say that Bangash would like the "ummah" to coalesce and take its lead from--who else?--the Shias.

Justin Trudeau's Obama-esque Promise

Just back from a visit to Texas and trying to catch up on what I missed, I happened upon the following quote in last year's final issue of the Canadian Jewish News (now purportedly "edgier"):
There is no question in my mind that Canada will always be, must always be, a strong, true friend to Israel, not just for historical reasons or for moral reasons, but because supporting the only democracy in the Middle East in an area that is rife with strife and conflict is a path toward a more stable, more peaceful, more accepting world. So I am happy to say that I am a strong friend of Israel and the Liberal Party is a strong friend of Israel.
These words are attributed to "Justin Trudeau, MP, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada" and, rife with jejunosity and squish as they are (a "more peaceful, more accepting world"?--let's all join hands and sing Kumbaya 'round the campfire!), it is quite plausible that young Justin and not one of his PR flunkies is actually responsible for them. What is far less believable, given Justin's previous history of sucking up to Islamists as well as the influence his Zion-loathing brother plays in his life, is that he possesses the cherries and the mental acuity to live up to this vow.

Put it this way, I see the above quotation as Justin's way of telling Canadian Jews: "If you like your Israel, you can keep your Israel."
