The Awful Truth About Egypt

While both left and right cheer the idea of democracy in Egypt, David Warren dares to tell it like it is:

There are two, and only two, credible sources of power in Egypt, at the national level. One is the army, and the other is the Muslim Brotherhood.
Looks like that "Arab democracy" thing is likely to be a bit of an uphill struggle, no? Maybe the freedom fans can take a few pointers from Iraq, which, forcibly "freed," was supposed to be the "Light Unto the Muslim Nations." (Oddly enough, no one seems to be mentioning Iraq at all in the context of unrest in Tunisia and Egypt.)

Update: Oh, look--the Ikhwan is already flexing its muscles (while Obama twiddles his thumbs).
