Big Brother TDSB Wants to Control How Employees Get to and From Work

Here's he latest bit of school board intrusiveness:
Working Together to Get Smart About Commuting
As Canada’s greenest school board, the TDSB recognizes the importance of environmentally-friendly workplace commuting. This month, we will partner with Smart Commute to survey staff about commuting practices and collect the information necessary to create an action plan.
Beginning at the three main administrative sites (Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough) between February 11-22, staff will be asked to complete a survey that covers a variety of topics. The resulting action plan could include possibilities such as:

• a carpool ride-matching tool to help find colleagues looking to share rides to/from work
• walking and cycling programs
• bike maintenance clinics and cycling workshops
• lunch 'n' learns on eco-driving and other related topics
Smart Commute is an organization focussed (sic) on reducing traffic congestion, smog and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as their related costs to the environment, economy and health of the community. Their mission aligns with the Board’s comprehensive Go Green: Climate Change Action Plan, which focuses on addressing environmental concerns with innovative and effective actions.
For more information about Smart Commute, a program delivered by the City of Toronto's Environment Office (TEO), please visit: www.smartcommutetoronto.ca.
No doubt about it, Canada's "greenest school board" has compost for brains.

Would you like to take a bet that this "informational" program will become mandatory within two school years?

A pretty safe bet, CP. I'm hoping more than a few employees tell these insufferable buttinskies to mind their own beeswax.
