Three Media Types Who Dared to Break Ranks and Think Independently Get Turfed Out of King Barry's Kingdom of Sycophants

It's awfully cold in Coventry for this trio of pariahs, writes VDH:
The Bob Woodward/Ron Fournier/Lanny Davis psychodrama is another small reminder that the Obama administration continues to assume that the press should be little more than a veritable Ministry of Truth. Its proper duty is to serve the White House and promote the progressive agenda of Barack Obama. Any were considered suspect who questioned whether those exalted ends should really be achieved by any means necessary — but they were so few and far between that it mattered little.
Woodward, Fournier, and Davis, in their surprise at the general paranoia of the Obama administration, must think that freelancing White House zealots are tarnishing the reputation of their president, who, given his own predilections, would otherwise not countenance such clumsy intimidation of journalists...
Yes, because despite their pariah status, for them to conclude that it is the president himself who is calling the shots is still so unfathomable, so counter to their true belief in Obama the man and the symbol, that they remain stuck in the purgatory of cognitive dissonance. They will either find a way out, or they will stay there forever. In any event, unless they are willing to abase and debase themselves for the remainder of their careers, their names and reputations will be permanently sullied. And no amount of abject groveling and sucking up will likely thaw the hearts of those who have frozen them out--i.e. Obama, his followers, and his media sycophants.
