And a German-American organization could have given him an award for his rare portrait for a population viewed almost exclusively as victims (of the Treaty of Versailles) or perpetrators (of Nazi aggression and the leader's avowal of Judenhass).

The food of Gaza? But Jean Ziegler, UN Rapporteur on the right to food, bashed Israel for years for depriving Palestinians of food. Two years ago, The Lancet published a "medical" article stating that Gaza children were malnourished.
Perhaps Mr Bourdain did not read the memo.
