80--Count 'Em--80

That's how many people turned out for a session of OWN IT, the Calgary conference aimed at finding way to counter the siren call of jihad that's luring more and more of that city's young'uns. You won't find any reporting of that paltry number in this Ceeb piece, of course. However, it does appear here, where one also learns that Calgary police have a "Middle East Advisory Committee." I could find no mention of it on the Calgary police site, so I can't tell you exactly the sort of advice the committee is offering. But when you consider that at least 30 Calgary "youts" have reportedly hooked up with ISIS, it's fair to conclude that, jihad-recruitment-wise, the advice hasn't been terribly effective.
