A "genius" progressive Jew thinks it's appropriate to use a production of Fiddler on the Roof, the musical based on Sholem Aleichem stories about life in a tiny Jewish village that existed in a vast sea of Russian hostility/Jew-hate, to raise money for--wait for it--UNICEF and the UN Refugee Fund. (In our era, of course, Israel, the tiny Jewish nation, exists in a vast sea of UN hostility/Jew-hate.) Isn't that rather like donating proceeds from a production of Porgy and Bess to the KKK?
