Sure, it stands for "confidential"; anyone with even a partially functioning brain (or a debilitating concussion) could figure that out.

But I think it also stands for "Chinatown"--as per the Jack Nicholson film, i.e. a zone of irredeemable evil that one should try to avoid at all costs. (That concept is best captured in the movie's immortal line: "Forget it Jake, it's Chinatown").

Moral Equivalence Alert: Michael Coren's Tweet Equates Zionists With BDSers

Even when he was solidly positioned on the right, the man (who now writes on occasion for the CJN) never really "got" Israel. This tweet confirms that any "epiphany" he's had in recent months does not include the Jewish state:

It might be true that #BDS activists single out Israel but it's also true that supporters of #Israel single out BDS. Neither side is pure.

Yes, how dare you "supporters of Israel" go and "single out" BDS (for wanting to bring down Israel)?

Venomous Jew-Hate Is Killing the UN

Jew-hate, as we know, is a pathogen which inevitably destroys its host. Case in point: the UN, which has welcomed a variety of Zion-despising NGOs into its precincts. Here's Anne Bayefsky on the topic:

In practice, NGOs have been welcomed into the world of international diplomacy and have gained access to international media platforms while they are simultaneously betraying the core U.N mission by advocating terror and intolerance.

Most striking for an organization founded on the ashes of the Holocaust, the U.N. has accredited NGOs that play a central role in promoting modern anti-Semitism and encouraging the destruction of the Jewish state.

In so doing, the UN has signed its own death warrant.

Dear Justin: Call It "Violent Extremism" All You Want. It's Still the Jihad, Stupid!

The Trudeau Liberals' inability to call a spade a spade--or a jihadi a jihadi--leads to all sorts of skewed thinking (like, say, the idea that there's no Islam in ISIS, which should therefore be called "DAESH").

It's also the reason why, in a report issued late last month warning that ISIS-inspired jihadis are infiltrating Canada, you can find this sort of blithering idiocy:

“The principal terrorist threat to Canada remains that posed by violent extremists who could be inspired to carry out an attack in Canada,” the report states. “Violent extremist ideologies espoused by terrorist groups like Daesh and al-Qaida continue to appeal to certain individuals in Canada.”

Got that? Generic "violent extremists" and their generic "violent extremist ideologies" may appeal to generic "individuals" who may be inspired to unleash generic havoc on the rest of us.

Good to know that the Trudeau Liberals are on top of things and are taking steps to protect us--via euphemism, obfuscation and circumlocution, apparently.

Today In Nothing To Do With Islam, the Trudeau Liberals Opt for the "DAESH" Bollocks

OTTAWA - The Liberal government will no longer refer to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and will instead call the group by a different, potentially insulting name: Daesh.

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale revealed the change in a report on terrorism released last month, saying ISIL is neither Islamic nor a state and that the report would instead use the group's Arabic acronym. 

Global Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence also say they are both adopting Daesh to refer to the group.       

The decision continues a trend that has been sweeping through western governments.
France and the United Kingdom are among those that have adopted the term in recent years. 

But while the term has long been used by Arabic speakers and comes from the group's Arabic acronym, it can also be considered an insult, with some translations meaning to tread underfoot or crush.

 Riiight. As if that, and not the claim that ISIL is in no way Islamic, is the far graver insult.

As per this Gatestone piece, the only way a chick living in sharia-ridden "Palestine" can make a name for herself is by getting offed while committing violent jihad. Neuer: Recently? Jerusalem built a light-rail system that runs through Jewish and Arab neighborhoods, making transportation easier and cleaner. UNESCO has a draft resolution, likely to pass, condemning the train for blocking the view of the Old City walls. 

The World Health Organization condemned only one country this year for violating people’s health rights: Israel—over its ‘treatment’ of Syrians in the Golan Heights. Well, Israel should be singled out—but for their incredible medical treatment of refugees from Syria’s war...

Canadian Liberal MP Sponsors Petition Condemning Jihadi Violence and Islam's Supremacist Agenda

Just kidding. Of course, the dupe is sponsoring something that condemns "Islamophobia," the phantom menace/smoke 'n' mirrors that Islamists haul out when they want to fudge the Koranic underpinnings of jihadi violence.

• Islam is a religion of over 1.5 billion people worldwide. Since its founding more than 1400 years ago, Muslims have contributed, and continue to contribute, to the positive development of human civilization. This encompasses all areas of human endeavors including the arts, culture, science, medicine, literature, and much more;
• Recently an infinitesimally small number of extremist individuals have conducted terrorist activities while claiming to speak for the religion of Islam. Their actions have been used as a pretext for a notable rise of anti-Muslim sentiments in Canada; and
• These violent individuals do not reflect in any way the values or the teachings of the religion of Islam. In fact, they misrepresent the religion. We categorically reject all their activities. They in no way represent the religion, the beliefs and the desire of Muslims to co-exist in peace with all peoples of the world.

We, the undersigned, Citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to join us in recognizing that extremist individuals do not represent the religion of Islam, and in condemning all forms of Islamophobia.

Despite the fact that this petition is replete with outright lies, I would not be at all surprised if Justin Trudeau and his retinue of Parliamentary useful idiots are persuaded to follow it to the letter.

Update: On a personal note, I was in Seville, Spain the other week and happened to turn on the TV in our hotel room when some imam on an Algerian channel was in mid-rant. Since I don't speak Arabic, I can't tell you exactly what he was saying. I do know, however, that every so often he spat out the word "Yahud," a word which, for obvious reasons (i.e. being one myself), I did recognize.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't saying anything along the lines of "as Muslims, we desire nothing more than to coexist in peace with the Yahud."
