Game of Thrones Prop Department Just Happened to Have a Dubya Head Lying Around--So They Thought Why Not Put it To Good Use?

Don't worry, though. Displaying the severed head of a despised former president is not "political":
Washington: Former US president George W Bush has been featured in a bizarre cameo in the first season of the hit HBO fantasy series, Games of Thrones, as a severed head impaled on a spike at King’s Landing.
“We just had to use whatever head we had around. The last head on the left is George Bush,” the New York Daily News quoted one of the show runners, as saying, in the DVD commentary.
"George Bush's head appears in a couple of beheading scenes. It's not a choice; it's not a political staement. We just had to use whatever head we had around," he added...
No worries, dude. Could have happened to anyone with a perfectly good unused severed Dubya head rattling around the prop department. (Dare we ask what it was doing there in the first place, or would that be too, um, "political"? And if it isn't political, isn't it, at the very least, disrespectful?)
