It Came From Outer Space
This story sounds like something from one of the loopier supermarket tabloids, the kind that's printed solely in black and white, but it's actually from National Geographic: A Buddhist statue that was once in Nazi hands (they carved a Swastika on it) turns out to be made from a meteorite that fell to Earth from the heavens.

I think there's a misunderstanding here, the Nazis didn't carve the swastika on the piece, it was part of the original statue. It's a very old symbol, which the Nazis adapted.
