"The story of the hundreds of thousands of Jews who were persecuted and forced to leave Arab countries should be included in the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, now under construction in Winnipeg, say Quebec Jewish Congress (QJC) and representatives of those Jewish communities now living in Montreal."
What, and possibly "insult" Canadian Muslims from those countries? And expect that Muslims won't, in a tit for tat move, demand that Israeli "persecution" of Palestinians be included, too?
Obviously, the above mentioned Jews haven't a clue about how this "human rights" stuff really works these days.

These kinds of posts are so childish. Instead of commending the Quebec Jewish Congress for doing the right thing you look for ways to be critical.
No, what's childish is the belief that all the "human rights" stuff--including the shrine to victimhood going up at great expense in the 'Peg--is worth trashing our most crucial freedom for.
Great Post Scaramouche! I can just hear the cries for the Commemorative Nakba Wing to be Bigger and Better and Judenrein!
Thanks, BCF. Sadly, the Jews don't "get" that in the culture of victimhood (theme song: the old Dr. Pepper commercial--"I'm a victim, you're a victim, he's a victim, she's a victim, wouldn't you like to be a victim too?), they aren't the only ones who get to play the victim card. And because the culture is hierarchical, with "victimized" Palestinians and other Muslims at the apex, the Jews are fated to lose every hand of the game.
As I figured same ol' same ol'...the only ones listening are yourselves....move on...nothing to see here
sue -- do you not follow any of the human rights stupidity in this country? Because if you did, you might understand what scaramouche is getting at.
In Europe, our Muslim "new Europeans" like to paint themselves as the New Jews but who have in reality themselves brought antisemitism back into Europe- while at the same time presenting themselves as victims.
It's shameful that we've added insult to injury in this way.
I'm looking forward to the Pol Pot Pavilion...call it half a million pairs of glasses.
Or the Copt Crypt.
Or possibly the South African farmers' Memorial. Or the Zimbabwe "Food for Rights" rotunda.
And, speaking of political famine, how about the Ukrainian man-made dust bowl.
Not to mention the "Long March" of the Armenians.
