“America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”For obvious reasons, this "testimonial" from Winston Churchill, Statesman and Activist, did not make the cut.
- Barack Obama, President of the United States of America
“Islam is a religion of success. Unlike Christianity, which has as its main image, in the west at least, a man dying in a devastating, disgraceful, helpless death.”
- Karen Armstrong, Writer
“I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to this friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission.”
- Mahatma Ghandi, Lawyer and Activist
“America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to, and even eaten with people who in America would have been considered white, but the white attitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all together, irrespective of their color.”
- Malcolm X, Activist
“My aim is to show that those governments that violate the rights of people by invoking the name of Islam have been misusing Islam.”
- Shirin Ebadi, Activist and Nobel Laureate
Wow, Islam sounds appealing and fun. Thanks, Muslim Brotherhood, for couching sharia in such a warm 'n' fuzzy--and, most crucially, such a non-threatening--way. Fingers crossed you get a few "reverts" and plenty of young apologists out of the deal. (That was withering sarcasm, in case you were wondering.)
