Little Mosquers On the Prairie

Just found out the other day on Toronto's OMNI TV about the Mosquers. This year's version of the federal government-sponsored "video contest encouraging Muslims (and Non-Muslims alike) to 'grab a camera and send a message' about Muslims or Islam in Canada" was held last week in Edmonton, a city that's striving to be "racism free."

In case you missed this year's event, don't worry. You can always try to dispel stereotypes and say something profound about "shariah," "Palestine," "Arab oppression," "Quran," "Allah," "Islamists" and/or "peace" (a few of the topics mentioned in the promo on the Mosquers site) next year.

For those who are wondering why there isn't a glitzy, red-carpet Jewish film competition, there is. It's called the Oscars.
