Schoolgirls in Afghanistan Said to be in the Throes of "Mass Hysteria," Not Poisoning
The mass hysteria (borne of the stress of living in a misogynistic land and/or the fear of being poisoned by the Taliban) has made them sick enough to be hospitalized. But an "expert" (what would we do without them, eh?) explains what's behind the "mystery sickness" and how to get over it:
“It’s a social ailment,” Arboleda-Florez said. “They just need to get away from their environment and the stress. And a hospital is a good place to do that.”
Indeed. Now, if only they could spend their entire lives in the hospital's protective womb, all would be copacetic.
