That's right. For over two decades now we, the Canadian taxpayers, have been paying her salary and funding this unfunny bilge.
Anyway, here's what Ms. Jones, who may never have reached Ghomeshi heights at the Mothercorp but who thinks just like him and all Ceeb "progressives," has to say about the Prime Minister (it's from a sidebar--"22 years of 22 minutes"--in the Arts & Life section of my newsprint NatPo--but damned if I can find it online):
"When you have this agenda that Harper has--and I'm sure he feels he's trying his f--king best, but his ignorance is unmistakable. He doesn't really get the big picture, he can't, he's a man, but he's also stupid. I'm sure he's a genius, but he's kind of an evil genius...I think there's a lot of good people who want to serve their country, serve the people, and they're thwarted when they get there. Ask Elizabeth May. The Green party are the only people who have the freedom to speak up and be individuals..."Individuals who are Jew-haters/Zion-loathers, that is.
I think the real "evil genius" is the Ceeb itself. Despite its painfully unfunny satire shows (on radio as well as TV); despite the endemic rot that enabled Jian Ghomeshi to flourish for so long with total impunity; despite the "big picture" it presents being a purely "progressive" one, and therefore being blinkered, unbalanced and skewed, the Mothercorp keeps plundering our pockets to the tune of $1 billion a year.
Can't really fault it for that, I guess. After all, it is doing its f--king best.
