What the WaPo Downplays in the Miami Synagogue Bomb Plot Story

Reading the WaPo account, I wasn't sure whether "Medina," the alleged bomb plotter's surmane, was of the "funky cold" variety or referred to the holy city in Saudi Arabia. That's because the WaPo buries the lede containing that info so far down that one might never come to it. I know I stopped reading long before I got there.

Ha'aretz, however, cleared the matter up PDQ, informing me right off the bat that the Jew-hater was a Muslim revert who was heard to say that he wanted to incinerate a synagogue for the glory of Allah.
