Pew Poll: Islam to be Numero Uno Religion by 2070

Great news for those who think Islam rocks:
Muslims will outnumber Christians by 2070, ending two millenniums of Christian dominance going back to the birth of Jesus Christ, projections released Thursday by the Pew Research Center show.
Islam is projected to grow more than twice as fast as any other major religion over the next half century because of a higher fertility rate. While Christianity will remain a dominant global religion, it will lose majority religious status in countries such as the United Kingdom, France and Australia
Such a dramatic change raises questions about whether global conflicts between radical Muslim groups and Western nations with Christian majorities will become more inflamed in the decades ahead. ...
I predict there will be less conflict as infidels accept their all but inevitable dhimmitude.

Obama Says the Tentative Framework for a Potential Deal With Iran Will Make the World Safer

Safer for mullahs who want to build nukes with which to obliterate Israel, maybe. Not so safe for the rest of us. (BTW, didn't you just love how Obama said more than once during his announcement that Iran poses nowhere near the threat to the free world that Soviet Russia did back in the day? In fact, Obama got that bass ackwards, because while the mullahs are indeed mad, unlike the Ruskies they are unlikely to be deterred by thoughts of M.A.D. Which makes them a far deadlier foe than the Commies ever were.)

Bottom line: you can't trust Obama and you can't trust Iran--with one humongous exception, of course. When the Grandiose Ayatollah says he plans to liquidate Israel, that's a promise he has every intention of carrying out.

A White House Seder--With "Pharaoh" Obama

With Obama oozing contempt and doing his damndest to throw Israel under the nuclear bus, his White House seder is especially problematic this year:
U.S. President Barack Obama has a "soft spot" for the Passover Seder and the story of the Exodus. Every year he makes sure to mark the Passover holiday with a much publicized Seder at the White House in which the participants read the Haggadah and Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. Only two years ago during his visit to Israel, Obama described what Passover meant to him: "It is a story of centuries of slavery, and years of wandering in the desert; a story of perseverance amidst persecution, and faith in God and the Torah. It is a story about finding freedom in your own land. For the Jewish people, this story is central to who you have become."
Now Obama is behaving as if he lost his memory; as if his statements on Passover were simply lip service. He is spiteful, holding grudges, and simply in denial of the democratic victory granted by the Israeli majority in the elections two weeks ago. He ignores the fact that most Israelis see a united Jerusalem as their capital, that most Israelis oppose the dangerous illusion of the establishment of a Palestinian state in our historic homeland that was conquered by foreigners. Obama is not treating Israel as a liberated entity like in his favorite Exodus story, but as his "vassal state and banana republic" (as Menachem Begin would put it).
Freedom -- there is no better word to relearn this Passover -- is not just a desire to be freed from physical subjugation. After the shackles of a person, or nation, have been removed, they must still ensure that their souls have been cleansed of bondage and the diaspora.
One who seeks true freedom, not just breaking free from handcuffs and finding refuge, must also find inner freedom; that deep understanding that truly free people are not just satisfied with being released from bondage and being in the diaspora. Truly free people espouse the ideal that the Jewish state is their identity and their manifest destiny; and this identity -- with all due respect to interests and dependency -- requires brave Jewish leadership, even in regards to friends who act as if they preside over us...

Zany Local Khomeinist Zafar Bangash Takes a Look at What's "Really" Behind the Iran Nuke Deal

Bangash bloviates:
The allegation about Iran building a bomb is utterly false. The US and its allies know it, so what is their real motive in exerting pressure on Iran? We look at the hidden reasons.
Read on if you must, but you needn't be a mind-reader to intuit that by "the hidden reasons" Zaffy means "Netanyahu and the Zionists."

P.O.'d Over Bibi's Election Win, Disgruntled Canadian JSpace Cadets Want Us To Bring "Progressive" Discord to Our Passover Seders

For the sake of "shalom bayit" (peace in the home), our family, which is split between "progressives" and those who are sane, makes an effort to avoid the subject of politics whenever we dine together on Friday nights or for certain Jewish holidays, including Passover. Three members of the JSPaceCanada coordinating committee, however (one of whom is tiny, perfect "progressive" Karen Mock), are so upset about the Israeli election results that they are urging that the opposite of "shalom bayit"--dunno how you say "hissy fit bayit" in Hebrew--be the order of the day at this year's seders ("seder," for those not in the know, is the Hebrew word for "order"):
Like most Jews in Canada, we believe in peace, justice and democracy. And so we are urging all Jews to discuss the results of the Israeli election openly around their seder tables. We should have the courage to discuss a variety of ways in which Canadian Jews can support Israel constructively, so that it becomes a true democracy for all its residents while, at the same time, continues to a home for all Jews.
Nuts to that, Karen! I'd urge you and your ilk to quit your kvetching, at least for the duration of the seders, and consider how your Big Lie about Israel (i.e. that it's not a "true democracy") adds fuel to the Zionhass fire.

Update: I left this comment on the CJN site:
Bring up the topic of the Israeli election at the seder table? What a perfectly awful idea. And, given the seder is a time when we recount our escape from Egypt en route to Israel, how ill-timed.
For the sake of "shalom bayit," I'd suggest that no one take this trio's "advice." That is, not unless you want the seder--which, after all, means "order"--to devolve into an arena roiled by discord, disharmony and disorder.
Update: Israeli Leftists are just as nutty as their Canucki counterparts:
The latest trend among leftists who were shocked by their defeat at the polls Tuesday is an apparently spontaneous campaign called “Don’t Give,” which calls on people to stop donating to the poorer Israelis and the socio-economically weaker regions known as “the periphery,” because these Israelis insist on voting for Likud, in election after election.
The campaign’s name in Hebrew, Lo Latet, is a reference to Latet (“To Give”), a major charity group that collects donations for the needy.
The campaign started as a Facebook trend, which gathered steam after it was reported about in the news, and has turned into a Facebook page with over 3,000 likes.
“As the holiday of Pesach approaches, I would like to remind you that there are hundreds of people who have no way of celebrating,” wrote one Lo Latet poster. “It’s important that you do not give them a single shekel.”
He added sarcastically: “After all, elected a government that will change their situation, so why interfere and ruin things? Happy holiday!”...
Niiiiice. Good thing these petty, vindictive, sanctimonious folks are so devoted to "tikkun olam" and "social justice." Otherwise there'd be no living with 'em.

IQRA Article About Muslim Unemployment, Underployment in Canada Buries the Lede

Supposedly, the big news (according to a report by something called the Canadian Dawn Foundation) is that
“Some 13.9 per cent of Muslims were unemployed in 2011, as compared with the national average of 7.8 per cent.”
Further,
in addition to high unemployment, underemployment is a serious problem.
Hmm, doesn't sound too good to me given that there's a percentage of the unemployed/unemployed who, having too much time on their hands, may be apt to get up to no good in a jihadist sort of way.

Be that as it may, the real lede, I contend, is this:
Daood Hamdani [who wrote the report] surmises that the growing population of Canadian Muslims can be influential in elections if they turn out to vote in larger numbers than they did in past elections.
“While Muslims are passionate about Canadian citizenship they are less enthusiastic about exercising its core right, voting,” he notes in the report. “They are less likely to vote than other faith communities, with their voter turnout rate estimated to be hovering around 46.5 per cent.”
“Over half a million Muslims are eligible to vote, but their political geography gives them a more than proportionate influence when elections are very close,” adds Hamdani. “Accounting for only 2.1 per cent of the electorate, they can influence the outcome of 23 constituencies in 2015.”
If Justin Trudeau and his power-hungry handlers can figure out a way to harness this vote, they'll have it made (and we'll be up a creek sans paddle or canoe).
