The Latest on the Buffalo Beheading Trial

From the Buffalo Evening News:
After appearing in court, [Defense Attorney Jeremy] Schwartz said he and [accused wife decapitator "Mo"] Hassan have "significant concerns" about the ability to get a fair and unbiased jury in their case. As for the prosecution's demand for the names of witnesse he said the prosecution "has the burden of proof" in dispelling Hassan's claims of being a battered spouse. He said he would not decide what defense witnesses, experts or lay persons would be called to the stand until after prosecutors rest their case.
The "defence" being "she hit me, she nagged me, so I cut off her head"? Maybe that'd fly in one of those sharia courts, Jer, but I doubt they're going to buy it in Buffalo.
