"Even Though the 'Tar Sands' Can't and Won't Have an Impact on Global Warming (While Coal Burning Will), We Still Think the Alberta Deposit is Feelthy and Eee-ville"

That's the enviro-weenies' take-away from a new report written by, shockingly enough, one of their own. The report's gist (as captured in the deathless, understated words of the Globe and Mail): "the impact of Alberta's resource has been overstated."

No kidding.
