The Rank Hypocrisy of Micmaq Anti-Frackers

Lorrie Goldstein sums up the current anti-fracking agita in N.B.:
What’s really going on in New Brunswick is environmental extremism hiding behind the cloak of aboriginal rights and violence by a minority of protesters.
It’s the same old anti-Western, anti-capitalist, anti-development, anti-growth, anti-progress, anti-human nonsense we’ve been hearing from radical environmentalists for decades, many of whom consider themselves above the law and better than the rest of us.
These are the same hypocrites who take the benefits of modern technology for granted — the cellphones and computers they use to co-ordinate their protests and riots wouldn’t exist without fossil fuel energy — while denouncing every conceivable means we have to create and transport energy.
So true. All will be well, though, once Natives score that "genocide" designation (because not having it is what's been holding them back, supposedly).
