A Whole New Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?
A just-released document reveals that the blind sheik who "masterminded" 9/11 and who has inspired untold numbers of young jihadis has renounced "violence." Supposedly. Not really. In fact, not at all:
CAIRO – In a major shift away from his views, the claimed mastermind of September 11 attacks has released a manifesto decrying violence and asserting that Qur’an forbids the use of violence to spread Islam.
“The Holy Qur'an forbids us to use force as a means of converting" and that reaching "truth and reality never comes by muscles and force but by using the mind and wisdom," Khalid Sheikh Mohammed said in the manifesto published by Huffington Post on Tuesday, January 14...
In his manifesto, he repeated that al-Qaeda launched war against America in retaliation for attacking and oppressing Muslims and supporting Israel.
Ah, yes, that "defensive" jihad we've heard so much about. Nothing violent or supremacist about that, right, taqiyyah-breath?:
Mohammed added that Al-Qaeda and its affiliates do not hate American “freedoms”.
“Do not believe those who claim that the mujahedeen fight infidels to turn them to Islam or that we are fighting you because you practice democracy, freedom or claim that you uphold human rights,” he says.
"Don’t believe the media that the Mujahedeen believe that Islam spread in the past and will prevail in the future with the sword," KSM, as he's known in intelligence circles, added...
So I guess he's given up on the idea of Islam sweeping the planet:
Spreading Islam
In his 36-page document, Mohammed tries to convince his American captors, prosecutors, lawyers and members of his military tribunal to revert to Islam...
Maybe not.
