Lost My Appetite

I was down in the Bathurst and Bloor area at lunch time today and suddenly had a hankering for a falafel. Spying a joint that specialized in Middle Eastern food, I went inside. I had every intention of ordering and eating my lunch there until, nearing the counter, I saw that its front was adorned with a flyer advertising the upcoming Al Quds Day seethe-a-thon at Queen's Park. (I don't remember what the flyer said verbatim, but this year's AQD theme involves "liberating" the Al Aqsa Mosque and "Palestine"--otherwise known as Israel.)

Needless to say, I decided not to patronize this establishment, and took my business elsewhere.


No Khomeinist falafel for me, thanks.
