And Then 'Burnie's' Head Exploded

This letter appears in the National Post:
Do you think that the proud Canadian, Mark Steyn, could be persuaded to return from the wilds of New Hampshire and take the reins as governor-general? Much as I admire William Tiberius Shatner, and would not be opposed to his appointment, a Governor-General Steyn would provide a younger, more energetic and accurate representation of current Canadian majority's values.

We really don't need yet another pseudo-intellectual nonentity appointed solely for politically correct reasons.

Michael N.W. Baigel, Toronto
Steyn return to Pierre's Trudeaupia so he can spend the next few years jetting off to fetid backwaters? Something tells me he'd rather pass a kidney stone or twelve.

Well if people don't like him they can vote against him just like I did with the last one.
