A Pattern of Duplicitous 'Clarification'

When Obama's new NASA chief revealed that his mission, as he understood it from the horses' mouth, was to try to make Muslims "feel good" about themselves and their scientific accomplishments, the subsequent outrage engendered something of a volte face. The NASA nudnik, obviously under pressure from the White House, claimed that, on second thought, perhaps he might have misunderstood what was expected of his space agency.

When Obama, in full-on suck-up mode, opined during a White House Ramadan dinner that he thought a mosque close to Ground Zero would be a good thing for America, the subsequent outrage engendered something of a volte face. The hapless Hopeychanger, on track to becoming the most maladroit C in C ever, claimed that, on second thought, perhaps people may have misunderstood what he meant to say. In saying this

"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country...That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances," he said. "This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable."
he was merely remarking on the legality, not the practicality, of building a grandiose mosque at that site:

“I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there.”
Too late, Barry. The cat's out of the bag, the ship has sailed, Pandora's box is wide open and, oh yeah, the bloom is definitely off the rose.
