An 'Office of Religious Freedom'? Yikes

Don't do it, Prime Minister Harper. It may sound like a good idea, but then so did Rights and Democracy and, for that matter, "Human Rights" Commissions--and look how disastrous those turned out to be. Set up such mechanisms and you are setting us up for the awful consequences of your good intentions--more bureaucracy, more intrusiveness, more bossing around of regular Canadians. Also, whatever happened to separation of church and state? With sharia-aficionados relentlessly pushing their agenda, isn't this a really bad time to create such a body--or can't the Tories foresee how Canucki Islamists might use it to push for their religious freedom (i.e. the "freedom" to install more and more sharia here)?
